Listings Data Services - Data Details

 

The list below represents the metadata we include with our data feeds. Some data formats include more data than others and some formats allow for significant customisation of what is included and what isn't.

Channel Name
The display name of the channel.
DigiGuide channel ID
This is our internal channel ID. It doesn't change.
Programme name
The name of the programme
DigiGuide programme ID
Our internal programme name. It doesn't change
Start date and time
In some formats these are separate fields.
End date and time
In some formats these are separate fields.
Schedule duration
This can be either minutes or seconds.
Episode title
For episodic programme this is the name of the epidode.
Series number
For programmes such as Friends or The Simpsons this is the series or season number.
Episode number
For programmes such as Friends or The Simpsons this is the episode number within a series.
Year
Often this is the year the programme or episode was first aired.
Rating out of 5
This is a rating we've assigned to the programme either based on feedback from our customers or by using external sources.
Certficate
This is based on BBFC rating but it is NOT the same as the certificate they use.
Synopsis
A generous description. For series we'll also often include an overview description first and then the episode description.
Category/genre
We subdivide our programmes into categories such as Science Fiction or Drama.
A list of keywords
We associate keywords with our scheduled programmes. e.g. a Film could have the following keywords: Comedy, Action, Western.
A list of qualifiers
We associate qualifiers such as subtitles, repeat, audio described, black and white, made for TV, and many more.
Directors
Who directed this programme. Can sometimes by multiple people.
Cast
Who were the main cast. Can also include the name of the role they played.
Related programmes
We can also provide related programmes - these are both "if you liked X you'll like Y" and similar programmes.
